This is the support repository for the 'Digital Radio Receiver' app.
This app currently decodes FT8 traffic.
Use the ClockSync app (version 1.2.6 by Sergey Baranov) to verify the time on your Android phone. Getting the correct time on your phone is CRITICAL!

spottingin app settings for added fun. The
spottingfeature is currently in the works (e.g. it does NOT compute SNR presently) - stay tuned for a more useful spotting feature.
Attention: The apps keeps the display ON to allow the microphone to work on modern Android versions. Keeping the display ON is required on modern Android versions.
incrementing numberyou see is the current 'seconds' value - it allows debugging the timing setup, and the app.
Keep the phone next to an audio source (such as HF Rig / Radio / PC).
You don't need to touch any of the buttons in the app - it is all automatic ;)
The primary, and only focus of this app is on decodes-per-watt. It will never get any fancy features - sorry about that!
Time Deltafeature does NOT work currently.
This version of
Digital Radio Receiveris not CrashFree (yet).

Listening to FT8 tunes all day might not be fun for everyone. Use the following cable to connect the sound-output of your radio to the mic-input of the Android phone.
The app is able to decode FT8 signals from almost 100 countries in a single day with a modest 'untuned' 20m dipole antenna.
