An integration for itch.io

Based heavily on Ertego's itch.io integration and burnhamup's Indiegala integration

Please use the download via the releases page as the repo itself does not contain any dependencies.

Note that many games on Itch are not listed in IGDB and therefore will show up as "Unknown Game". You can help fix this by adding them on igdb

Current Features

Installation

  1. Download the plugin from the releases page.
  2. Copy the downloaded ZIP to %LOCALAPPDATA%\GOG.com\Galaxy\plugins\installed which is the same location as C:\Users\USER\AppData\Local\GOG.com\Galaxy\plugins\installed, but the first one can be copy-pasted
  3. Unzip
  4. (Optional) Delete the zip to save space

Unknown Game - difficult to find out which game it is

Currently, if the itch.io plugin cannot figure out a game, it's just not going to display anything. Please instead display the url to the game in the title, or something like that, so it can be found on itch.io and added to IGDB.

Plugin says offline, cannot fix with disconnect and reconnect

I have tried reconnecting and reinstalling the plugin, however it will not stop saying that it it offline.

Plugin has crashed. Retry

on GOG boot, when foing into settings, Add games & friend, Connect gaming account, When clicking connect it connects only to have the status as Plugin has crashed. Retry, retry does nothing image

Login fails when using "Sign in with GitHub"

When signing in to itch.io with GitHub, the sign-in proceeds to the itch homepage instead of the "authorize application" flow. And upon trying to connect again it seems that cookies are lost so the process begins again instead of re-using the sign-in.

It worked when I used an itch username/password, though.

What to do after unzipping files in proper folder?

Hi,

My apologies if it sounds like a very basic and stupid question, but I followed your instructions and unzip the files within the proper /installed plugins folder.

When I restart GOG Galaxy though, it does not show any itch.io account option or entry to link from. Is there something I'm missing here? What are the steps to proceed with after we unzip your files?

How to actually launch installed games?

The readme states "Launch games" is part of the current feature list.

Could you explain how this works, as I can't seem to figure it out on my own.

Uninstalled Itch games still show as installed

As the title says. I've also tried running the sync integrations thing and that doesn't seem to work either. Right now the only way to update when a game is uninstalled is by disconnecting and reconnecting the plugin.

Installed free games not imported

The plugin doesn't appear to recognize or import installed free games (not bound to account) like Ertego's plugin does. Currently it only recognizes purchased games that are installed.
