Bojler is an email boilerplate and a guideline for writing HTML code that will render correctly across each of the most popular email clients.

If you have experience with email template development, you know how painful it is to build a perfect email template that works across all email clients.

Bad bojler...

What did you do with the project? Previously, everything was fine, there was a dev option in gulp. There were inline styles right in html. Where is the server http://localhost:8000? Now there is nothing at all, and it's not clear how to work with this. Now either use the old version of 2017, or just go to something else .... sorry for the bad english.

Add css style block to source html without it being stripped

I'm trying to add an [owa] rule, but the css injector doesn't have anywhere to apply it to so it gets stripped out on compile. I want to add it directly to a style block in my head, but then that too get's stripped out. Any ideas on how to add a style block without it getting stripped?

Bojller is stripping away {} from variables

We are using Bojler as a framework for some Marketo email templates. In Marketo you define various variables, such as background color with a placeholder such as: ${heroBackgroundColor}

After compile, this is stripped away to: $heroBackgroundColor

What we do currently is have a list of elements that we do a search & replace for, as the following example:

replace "$heroBackgroundColor"
with "${heroBackgroundColor}"

replace "$heroTwoBackgroundColor"
with "${heroTwoBackgroundColor}"

replace "$heroOneButtonBackgroundColor"
with "${heroOneButtonBackgroundColor}"

Is there any other, easier way of accomplishing this?

Gmail isn't responsive

The template in Gmail isn't responsive. If I remove every styling which contains :sm and @sm it seems to work again.

Adds natives module needed to run on Mac OS X

Doesn't run on MacOS Node v10.16.0 unless we install this module, might need a bit of testing if it doesn't interfere with other OSes (but I don't think it will).

  • Fix a bug where --watch mode would close immediately in TTY mode. This was caused by our change to close --watch when stdin was closed outside of TTY mode, which has been reverted for now while we work on a fix.
