Taskbar11

Change the position and size of the Windows taskbar in Windows 11

Description

Taskbar11 customizes the look of the Windows 11 taskbar, which doesn't have any options by default. The taskbar can be set to the top or bottom (default) of the screen, it also allows for setting various icon sizes.

Usage

Download and launch the executable "Taskbar11.exe". The program is portable.

Requirements

  • Windows 11

Possibly works on other version of Windows. However, since Windows 11 is the first version with locked settings there really is no purpose to install it on earlier activated versions of Windows.

Information

All adjusted registry settings can be viewed in MainWindow.xaml.cs.

Taskbar wont move to Top.

Pale red Windows 11 Pro Insider Preview Version Dev Installed on ‎15/‎01/‎2022 OS build 22533.1001 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22533.1001.0

I normaly use Start11 to move my taskbar to the top of the screen. After a Windows update a couple of minutes ago that feature got broken. That is why i tried this utility but it seems to suffer the same issue. Setting the taskbar position to top and hitting save restarts explorer and the taskbar appears at the bottom.

Requesting Left Taskbar

I have used left taskbar on my main monitor, and a bottom taskbar on my other monitors for years. Could you add functionality to accomplish this?

This app causes another app to crash (TranslucentTB)

When applying the settings in this app, TransclucentTB will shut down with an error. Translucent TB is able to start again, but during this time, the taskbar background color becomes clear.

Control panel visualization bug

I have set the start bar to be on top of the screen, the control panel when I click it's cut in half (as seen in the attached image), while for the notification tab doesn't have that problem.

Window 11 Eval Copy issue

Started to use the eval ver of 11 build 22593 and this is not working. I even tried to move the taskbar to the top manually via regedit but it keeps changing it back to the bottom after refreshing windows explorer. When I use this tool it just flashes the screen and the bar is back on the bottom.

After last update to winver Version 22H2 (OS Build 22581.1) it stays on bottom. Something resets the value back to 03 ! This reset also happens when I set it manually to 01.
