Description

Make the extension available in Visual Studio 2022.

Steps to recreate

Download the extension installer.
Run the installer.

Current behavior

Message that it is already installed to all applicable products appears even though it is not installed in Visual Studio 2022. It is also not listed in Online Extensions in Manage Extensions Visual Studio 2022.

Expected behavior

Installs and works in Visual Studio 2022.

When I use "clean file": Ctrl+Space, M combination. I use Visual Studio 2013, problem started after installing R#. I also figured out that the problem starts only after running R# cleaning on file, because if I clean using CodeMaid just after opening file it works, but if I use R# on that file then it got an error from CodeMaid. I works with default setting of CodeMaid and R#. Cleaning all open file and all solution still works. CodeMaid version 0.7.4 R# version 8 and 9.

Find in solution explorer fails in Spanish

Hi guys,

When I call - Find in solution explorer - error HRESULT E_FAIL a call appears in a COM component. I have reinstalled (first I uninstalled) and the same thing keeps happening. I use VS 2013 Ultimate Update 3 in Spanish Can you help?

Solution not collapsed at VS startup

It seems that the option to collapse solutions when they are opened do not work anymore.

When I open a solution, it is collapsed at first, but when the Solution Explorer finishes to load the solution, it takes back its expanded state as it was when I did exit VS.

I'm using VS 2013 and the option "☑Collapse solutions when they are opened" is correctly checked.

VS 2015 freeze with F# projects, F# cleanup disabled, and Visual F# Power Tools installed

Of course, it a the VS template doesn't trigger it. Would be to easy ;) So invested some time and here is the (mean) report:

Steps to reproduce

Create a new Solution with a stock F# console application
Add a new code file (the default "File1.fs" is ok), leave it as is
Add another new code file (again, the default "File2.fs" is ok)
Close VS
Reopen the solution
Open menu "CodeMaid" -> freeze

I also noticed:

the freeze is not a complete lock, but lasts for ~30sec
while freezed the cpu is idling and no memory is allocated
doesn't happen with only "File1.cs"
the freeze only happens the first time after VS lunch
it happens when right clicking an opened *.fs editors tab, too. (not with CodeMaid being disabled)

I tried to debug VS and pause when VS is freezed, but had no luck with seeing a callstack.

If you're not able to reproduce it on your behalf, repeat steps 3 to 6. Looking forward to read about your luck/results.

Jan Wosnitza When I have an F# project opened and I open the "CodeMaid" menu from the VS main-menu band, VS freezes immediately.

But it's not a big deal to not click the button ;)

Steve Cadwallader Sorry to hear it, and I have been unable to reproduce it with a stock F# console application.

If you can file an issue on GitHub (https://github.com/codecadwallader/codemaid/issues) we can look into it more. Some interesting information to have would be the document that is open and active when you encounter the issue. One of the menu items does report the file name (i.e. "Cleanup Program.fs") so it would be interesting to know if the issue occurs when no documents are open or only when certain documents are active.

I'm going to pull a request to remove all unnecessary async and await code, i.e. update code as below

This will remove all unnecessary statemachine code generated by comipler, as a result:

The dll size will be reduced.

Allow having the option of being able to sort attributes by default alphabetically and perhaps offer other types of sorting methods.

Expected behavior

Once Cleanup Active Document or Reorganize Active Document has been clicked the attributes for the code has been sorted alphabetically. There could also be different types of sorting methods that could be configured in the settings.

Cleanup code with a single line method. ie:
